From magnum. PnP. Similar to 1961VINTAGE notes. Quite a bit of sediment so I would decant. Holding nicely, and in a good window, so drink now. Lovely wine.

Not a ton of fruit but tannins are nicely integrated. Might want to hurry.

At its plateau. 750 a couple years ago had faded fruit and too much tannin. This one seemed more resolved with evough fruit. Very tasty. Not 94 points tasty

From magnum. Fruit remains quite evident. Wine has become mature and well integrated. Though might go at peak another 1-2 years, would be drinking now.

Fruit is fading but the bite and flash-tannic structure remain in force. Once those rougher elements fade out, the long finish offers a ghost of lovey sweet fruit. Very good but--drink now--as the fruit is destined to slip away under the structure.

Pleasant, but several years past its peak.

Dark, savory and delicious. This is a nicely rounded wine with lots of dark currant and cherry fruit, but also a nicely bitter dry finish with herbal and juicy acidic notes. Opened to go with a grilled steak and I'm sure it will work great.

Dark and ripe, loads of intense dark cherry and black plum fruit on the nose, maybe a tinge of herbs. Drinking well, medium body, with savoury currant and cherry flavours with some earthy tobacco and leather notes. A little short on the finish, but has a nice complex flavor.

A little light with faded fruit. Not overly interesting or complex. Probably a good wine to have at lunch with pasta.

A very nice wine, but overpriced at $37. Intriguing nose, with enticing notes of Serrano ham. Sweet fruit with earthy notes. Soft tannins, but lacking structure.

Did not have a chance to taste. Consumed by others and was one of the first bottles finished. May be coincidence - have found this to be a decent wine in the past.

Found a magnum on Winebid for $46...superb. Layers of luscious mature fruit with a very nice nose and finish. Had with a Sicilian pasta and pistachio cream

Served to a group - only half enjoy red wine. Has aged well. Mellow fruit. Nothing spectacular.

Corked but drinkable. Flawed wines do not deserve to get pulled out of the ratings average. (79 points)

Very dry and softened with some time in the glass, much better with food than standing on it's own for sipping

Popped and poured. Lush black fruit aromas, plenty of earth, good spice complement. Similar on palate, perhaps slightly earthier, slightly more mature. At its peak, certainly no upside from here. Consumed over two hours, held fairly constant.

Decanted about 2 hours. Deep ruby red color. Blackberries, black cherries, dried herbs, vanilla, cigar box, and some earthiness on the very intriguing nose. Medium body with fairly solid, slightly scratchy tannins and very nice acidity. Nice fruit and dried herbs on the palate with some spiciness and earthiness coming in on the backend. Decent length on the finish which is slightly clipped by the tannins and acidity. This really needs a few more years in the cellar. Tastes incredibly …

Double decanted 4 hours before -- I think it helped as the tannins were not as obtrusive as expected. Somewhat modern with a little too much (just a little) but plenty of Cab S. and Cab F. fruit. Showing well and should improve with time, but not a great value at the price.
