Straw colored. Soft nose of light honey, chalk and slight attractive funk. Palate is bright med plus acid, med low alcohol, lemon peel, dried straw, and chalky rock. Pairs great w Dungeness crab.

Fruit and mineral on the nose. Lemon, green apple, salinity, mineral, and honeysuckle on the palate. Crisp, balanced, with a nice finish. Delicious and drinking nicely.

Floral sweet nose. Med plus acid and med alcohol. Lots of Meyer lemon and citrus, not ripe honeydew, touch of Salt on the back, mineral mouthfeel with a long finish. Nice and easy by the rest very.

These wines are damn good. Classic vaillons oyster shell. Great value.

Day 2 dinner company cruise. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, lemon yellow colours. Legs. Nose is clean, mediun intensity, with aromas of seashell minerality, stony minerality, citrus lemon, green apple, slight fragrant florals. Developing. On the palate, dry, very high acidity, medium alcohol (13%), medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of ripe citrus lemon, sweet green apple, seashell and stony minerality. Long finish. Believe this was corked. Wet stone and sheepy. Aerated, same. 2nd night, same. Reminded me of leftover water after rinsing clams.

It smells like acetic acid. The body is medium. The wine finishes medium.

Good, not great, but all Chablis. Soft butterscotch, with signature terrior.

Wow! I haven't given a score this bad in many years. I cannot believe I was sucked into this WTSO purchase, but in my defense, it is a Vaillon which enjoys a great reputation and I've enjoyed many good wines from this sub-apellation before (granted far more well known and respected producers like Fevre). This wine smells and tastes like drinking liquid Downy (yes, the fabric softener)! I would call it billeous but that would be offensive to bile everywhere. …
