The 2009 Veranda Cabernet-Carmenère Apalta is a solid wine. With each grape contributing 50%, you truly get to experience the characteristics of both. The carmenere lightens the body of the blend, while cabernet delivers its traditional qualities. I prefer a more full bodied wine, but I really enjoyed this bottle. Wine Spectator did not publish a rating for the 2009, but the 2007 was rated 86. This aligns with the sole review on CellarTracker for the 2009 bottle. I rate …
