Herzog Pinot Noir Special Reserve Edna Valley

a bit too much of the burnt rubber for my taste having had several bottles over the past year I'm finally coming around to like it better but needs A LOT of time for the oak to recede before showing as a beautiful old-world-ish pinot

Very nice complex concentrated medium to full body fruit driven concentrated Pinot noir. Lots of fresh berries and cherries on the bouquet and pallet. Some hints of earth. This is really morally world style and enjoyable now. You could probably age it although I don't know how well this will age. These can sometimes surprised you and age quite well but they can also Fall apart. Definitely worth trying.

This was a very fun wine to have had on Shabbos. I opened it up at lunch time and right away and drink very well. It is nice and complex with good concentration and a lot of secondary notes already. This seems to me a style that is ready to drink now and I may be wrong but I don't think this will do well with long-term aging. I still think it's excellent QPR and they must try. A lot …
