Alexander Valley Vineyards Chardonnay Alexander School Reserve

A pleasing dark straw color in the glass, this is a medium body 100% chardonnay with flavors of peach, green apple, baked bread, dry grass, and a bit of tropical fruit. There's oak but it is well balanced by the yeasts. A quick burst of sweetness, very quick, leads to a long, lingering, very happy finish. I am not usually a white wine kinda person, but wines like this would easily change my mind!
