I definitely enjoyed this mourvedre, which the owner mike told me had a hit of syrah and grenache added. For a mourv heavy rhone blend, this red exhibited a lot of finesse and drive, great body, and bright flavor. The lack of depth drew points away from the end result, however.

Pleasant enough on the first night with tobacco, dried cherry and pepper aspects it fell apart on the second night after pumping out air with a Vacuvin and only showcased chocolate oakiness reminiscent of burnt smores over a campfire. Obliterated the sense of terroir with heavy-handed oak regimen.
