Round #2...16$ @ MLCC. Still big bold bottle and the carbon footprint does stand out i must say, especially after i bought a bottle that specifically highlighted the fact it was light...interesting. Anyway - I guess similar to last note. The winter influence is here...still like it in the 88-89 range, with vision of holding this for 1-7 yrs still. Bright fruit, acid/tannin is prominent on attack and mid palate. Cherry/rapberry. Body is medium and get a little chewy perhaps …

Brand new vintage on shelf beside the '09 - you can see my note from the '09 vintage...this is pretty similar, perhaps more balanced fruit, and not so "juicy fruit" like...but still lots of bright cherry fruit in there with low acid/tannin. Easy quaffer without food. Good mix with a variety of food for summer. Damn heavy bottle still...not sure why...would lead to a major carbon foot print no doubt! :) Want to put a few away for a couple …
