X Winery Zinfandel Amazin

Ok wine. Held up to this time. Nothing special.

Not bas. Second day softened considerably to a nice smooth flavor.

popped and poured and had with Pizza dinner. strong nose of red berries that carries over to the initial attack on the palate. Pleasant enough fruit forward zin that did not overwhelm with alcohol. Little bit of an aftertaste on the finish. I did not get as much acidity as a previous reviewer., Pretty simple wine that is not bad at what it tries to do. Pretty decent midweek drinker

Not bad for the price, but fairly simple and nothing too memorable. Went well with pizza.

Bright fruit, mostly of rasberry. Correct, but kind of boring. 82-83

Decanted for 1 hour. Plums and red cherries with a little bit of white pine wood on the nose. Jammy red fruits on the mid-palate. Mild spices, vanilla and oak, and moderate tannins to finish it off. This wine is fairly one dimensional, but very well balanced. The alcohol is well contained within the fruit, and quite frankly, the wine is quite delicious. Great quaffer with or without food.

Amazin' especially after a couple of hours

Was better the second day, I found it to be disjointed overall, have definitely had much better Zins.

Medium Red, with slight purple tinge. Nose: Bright Fruit, and Chocolate, under ripened Plum. Taste: Flavors grow into the mid palette with limited initial taste. Hot tannins proceed well into the finish. There are flavors of spices, and cola. The acidity levels, lend themselves well to food. However the structure is lacking, so drink it up. I had this with a vegetarian pizza and it complemented it well. Great any day wine, would buy again.

This wine improved a full 3 points from opening to 2 hours later. Flavors include syrupy plums, cherry cola, and chocolate. A little fake at first, but did improve to an amazin mid-week wine.
