2018 vintage. Purchased from winery. Had with wifey, brother-in-law, and his visiting friend in front of fireplace. Typical earthy and red berries on the nose and palate. Good but overpriced.

MN Valley Fine Wine Tasting Meetup $100 Plus Wine Event (Minneapolis, MN) : First red of the tasting. Solid and offers iron of all things along with Bing cherry, minerals, raspberries and earth. Well made wine.

Aroma: strawberry, grapefruit, dried fig, cherry cola, raspberry, menthol and peppercorn. Palate: ripe red fruits, peppery, muted, medium tannins, medium to long finish. Not bad for a new world wine. Paired nicely with a braised short ribs and creamy pasta. Best to finish on day 1. 89-90

Too candied, but fortunately there is enough acidity to provide structure.

Ultra modernly styled, with gushing blue, purple, and black berry juices, fresh, in compote, candied, syrupy, and essences. A damp, black earth mineral ore element lingers behind the fruit tsunami. The wine has sufficient acid to hold it together and dusty to gritty tannins are present as well. It should be enjoyed over the next five to ten years. 90-91.

Celebration of Life (Mike's house) : This was open already when I got to a friends house. It wasn't decanted, probably should have been. Painfully young, gushing with exuberant fruit.

Incredible first estate wine from Domaine Roy. Tasted a few days ago on out WV tasting trip, so my notes are sketchy, but this was one of the best, if not the best of the many wines we tasted. incredibly purity of fruit, deep body and flavor profile. A winery to watch.
