Agreed with the suggestion this comes off as grenache in a pinot noir style. It is from the Clos Pepe estate after all. Lots of French-style funk on the nose, very light bodied, slightly dry with red food. Going to buy more and try pairing with non-red meat dishes.

This wine has become interesting, which is not the same as good. Medium cherry color with tan around the edges. It looks like a Pinot Noir. The nose shows black cherry smoke and funky aromas. Light bodied and racy on the palate, it has strawberry flavors and bright acidity. Finishes fast, with light grip and low tannins. This is Grenache done in a Pinot noir style. It’s unusual, but, as I said before, interesting. Maybe too interesting.

Dried flowers, baking spices, fresh red-berry fruits and minerals made up this lighter bodied glass of wine. Good acid and Fun with spicy food!

This is a blend of 67% Grenache and 33% Syrah, which sounds like a combination I would like. Twist off cap which I like. When I poured the color turned out to be much lighter than I thought, bordering on a dark rose. Light berry flavors were still there. This bottle didn't pack the punch (not even a jab) I had hoped.
