Domaine Michel Lafarge Beaune 1er Cru Clos des Aigrots Blanc

Lemon curd, vanilla, bitter almonds, elderflower and white peaches. Lovely texture. Medium acidity and medium plus elegant finish.

No as good as the 18 or 19. Decent ripeness but more vegetal than anything. Drink or hold.

Lovely wine. Needed some air. At first rather acidic. Then decanted for 2 hours, much better. A nice full and round, yet very elegant wine. Had it with salmon with hollandaise sauce and roast vegetables.

Domaine Lafarge Cellar Visit and Tasting (Day 5, Visit 2) (Volnay) : Barrel tasting at the domaine. Apple and lemon throughout. Ripe and easy start, bigger and more structured middle-through-finish, good length. 89-90 point potential.
