Christophe Pacalet Moulin-à-Vent

Autumnal. All cranberries and damp leaves and earth. Plus orange zest just for kicks. More of a Baritone Beaujolais than a tenor, and in a perfect place for drinking. Wish I'd bought more.

Dinner at Nathan's House : This was hard to read. Compared to the Brouilly drank alongside it, this was tight, dark and unyielding. With time the flavors seemed to loosen a bit and there was some nice berry and floral notes, but overall this was young.

This is stellar Moulin à Vent, showing great secondary and tertiary notes. There is something almost Volnay-esque about it. Very much ready to drink, and may not last much longer though.

A little spice, a little gym shoe, light in the mouth, might improve with time.
