100% Malbec. Deep purple-ruby, unfiltered, with a garnet hue on the rim. The nose is - at first - somewhat closed and very earthy and barnyardy. Eventually the nose opens up to reveal ripe black fruit, orange peel, dark chocolate. The palate is dry, with medium acidity, medium (+) tannins and medium (+) alcohol (13.5%). The flavor intensity and length are medium, with a slightly bitter, astringent finish. This medium (+) to full-bodied wine is somewhat linear and rustic and …

Still young. Lots of cedar and fresh black fruit with good tannin. Paired well with filet but more complexity with time.

Clear deep purple; clean medium nose of cedar, cassis and licorice; dry; pfn with cocoa and black pepper; medium plus mouthfeel; medium plus acidity; medium plus finish; medium plus tannins; we really enjoyed this wine; it’s good value for its price point

This bottle was a bit flat, dull tasting, but no signs of TCA (corked). Not what I remembered from a tasty, deep and spicy, rustic 2009 years ago. Maybe it was just past peak.

Very good. Fruit-forward. Concentrated dark fruit. Velvety mouthfeel. Violets and spice. Big tannins, but drinks well now. Probably better in a few years.

Excessive oak, not particularly concentrated, dark fruit, underwhelming, not ready and unclear it will ever be.

Spice , peppery and lots of smoke with blueberry fruit. Wild berry tasting and experience, When first open it was hard wooden tannins but relaxed over time ready for grilled lamb chops two hours later. Great value.

Opaque dark and purple. Plum, licorice and herbs in the nose. Dark berries licorice and chocolate. Medium+ intensity and medium length, and a very good balance. I previously rated 2006 with 90pts. This is not there yet, but got the potential. 50+4+10+15+9 = 88

Rich, full, and fruity without being sweet or flabby. Excellent. Worth much more than the $18 the LCBO is charging.

Malbec 100%. France. Southwest France, Cahors AOC. Rubber, egg aroma. Dark Ruby. Full predominant Orange peel note. Med finish. Med tannin. The wine looks ruby colored. It smells like rubbery and skunk. It tastes like orange. The body is full. The wine has coarse texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.

Malbec grapiness, with some wood and acidity to extend it. Fairly even along the palate. I sometimes find Cahors a bit overripe and funky, but this was better. Enjoyable easy quaff.

Big blueberry, blackberry fruit; floral and fruity nose; smooth, med. body, purple fruit with black spices; moderate weight on this, but a good everyday drinker, and a bit rustic.

Dark fruits- blackberries, black plums, black raspberries, cassis; with hints of vanilla creme brulee with the crust knocked off. Really dig the tart black-raspberry finish before the chewy, slightly peppery tannins kick in. Spends only a few moths in oak, so the fruit and tannins are all what the grape has to offer. Style & Quality: B+. The pureness of the black fruit really shows through, which is a testament to the winemaker as the Cahors weather was quite fickle …
