very light, more like a Pinot than a cab.

Jammy and toasty, with plump cherries and hibiscus tea notes. Unmistakably New World in its toasty, almost brown sugar sweetness, but it manages not to be obtrusive.

Jammy, floral, chewy appeal with cherries and plums and soft tannins. Uncomplicated but not too over-the-top and fake, still maintains some balance.

A very reasonable, well made, stereotypical, straight forward somewhat simplistic entry level / daily drinker level CA cabernet that is not pretentious and is pretty good for what it is. A good QPR wine. Ready to drink now and will hold well for at least 2-3 years but made to be approachable young, not a long term keeper. Nose fruity and a little hot, very dark and oak, cassis and dark fruit dominate the flavor profile. Not a particularly serious …

13.5% alcohol; 45 mm real cork with a maximum of 3 mm wine penetration, aroma of unripe blackberries; decent, medium-weight foil; long legs, medium to dark purple; nose of cassis, rhubarb, unripe plums; opened, ventured, and tasted after 15 minutes at approximately 10 degrees C; a full-bodied Cab with no-nonsense tannins and the tang of somewhat underripe fruit -- blackberries, raspberries, stone fruit, cassis; the tannins balance against sourness, sweetness, and bitterness, in that order, an impression which carries through …

This bottle sat in back of my tom controlled cellar for quite some time. Happily surprised how well it drank in 2021. Smooth with notes of black currents, low on acidity. Went great with my blue cheese wine chips :)

Very solid and with all the classic and typical CS flavors at a great price.

Deep ruby hue with high saturation. Aromas and flavors of blackberry, cedar, cherry, plum, and toast. Medium-full body; soft, medium-heavy tannins; and medium-high acidity. An appealing, berry-centric nose with a bold (yet easygoing) mouthfeel and a quick finish. Straightforward and approachable. Drink now or hold.

Solid value for 12 bucks. Goes great with cheese based foods. Would not kick it out of bed. Wife agrees.

Hilariously horrible. Served alongside a string of discount domestic wines that all should’ve been put in front of a firing squad as soon as they were born. This is where grapes go to die. The Uppercut earns points for the simple fact that some stumbling partygoers who consumed this actually came back for more. If The Real Housewives of Atlanta was a wine, the Uppercut would be a knockout (see....see what I did there....cuz of its name, right?!.... clever eh?.........)

Nice pizza wine. A bit sweet which is surprising given the alcohol content.

Even better than my first bottles in 2012, now is the right time to drink and best with a good meal as it does not overpower the food

The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like alcohol/hot, honey, light toast and red currant. It tastes like blackberry, raspberry, prune, cherry, molasses and alcohol/hot. The body is medium. The wine has polished texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has medium acidity. We were impressed by the complexity and the variety of flavors from bouquet to aftertaste.

It's fine, but lacks the fruit that the 2007 had. Feels like it needs more time, but not worth a spot in the cellar

I thought it was good for the price it had a lot of,body strong berries taste. The second bottle I had was flat and flabby. The third one I had was just like the first. A 70 really??

Opaque core with only a faint crescent of crimson at the rim. Nose on this is berries galore- mulberries, blackberries, raspberries, with deeply embedded (though not overpowering) oak, punctuated by the briefest of vegetal aromas. There's also a high note of candied cherry here. With aeration, this evolves an ashy nuance as well. On the palate this moderately concentrated (if a bit one-note) and as smooth as you like, with a soft reprise of the oak and a slight alcoholic …

From Provance, used as a "Development Brand" by Diageo (sp?). With a bit of a green twinge on the nose. Palate is tight. More caby cab, I am being told better when open for a while. Probably that is true. Ok at $20, probably the best Napa can do in short vintages.
