So great to see nontraditional varietals grown in California. Fantastic that the Graziano Family has stretched to feature rare and obscure Italian varietals in their Monte Volpe line. The relatively warm Potter Valley of Mendocino County is the source of this wine, and it shows. While Vermentino shows best (in my experience) in Mediterranean-influenced Sardinia, it is widely grown in the western regions of Tuscany and southern France, often under the name of Rolle.
