Terralsole Merlot Coldoro Toscana IGT

Deep ruby red. Nose of cherry, bramble fruit, chocolate, spice. Palate is loaded with cherry, blackberry and raspberry fruit, and vanilla from (I suspect) pretty heavy oak use. The acidity is mild, tannin big and unfortunately it's a bit hot. Overall an enjoyable but simple and straightforward wine. Not much QPR at $65.
