Massive butter / brett? - almost to the point of being a fault. Balanced - no. Oak, mineral, butter, apricot. No score given.

Dark yellow/gold color. Immediate nose of oak with butter, straw, and extra ripe pineapple. Big, round flavor, but does have an astringency from the oak (I presume). Had next to a Morey chassagne montrachet from same vintage on mother's day. Wife preferred the TOR, while I drank the burgundy and we were both happy.

Aromas of apple, pear, toast, lemon zest and spice. Apple, tropical fruit, lemon, vanilla and spice on the palate. Long finish. Good acidic balance. Served with baked potato soup.

Football weekend in South Bend, brought for Val and friends. Nicely, chilled, PnP, drank over an hour. Notes from memory Medium gold color. Nose showing orchard fruit, orange zest. Rich palate repeats along with butterscotch and creme brulee. Really rich through the mid palate, medium/long finish. I have become a fan of Tor's Chardonnay, well made wines. In a great spot now, should drink at this level for a while. Wine benefits from air time, improved in the glass.

Stinky, wet stone smell. has a funk, but in a good kind of way. Nice floral fruit. oak is present. Not bad. Wish i had this with food to see what else I can find in this wine.

Rich and full bodied California Chardonnay. Citrus, tropical fruits, toasted oak and a bit o’ buttah. Don’t expect a Montrachet with this wine, but if you like a bold expression of the grape, you will love it. A crowd pleaser!

Notes of orange juice, lemon and pineapple. Toasted by oak, but maintains freshness. Well done in a bigger style.

Big boy Chardonnay! Huge nose, silky rich body. Bright fruits with solid acidity that paired beautifully with porcini ravioli and Black truffle cream sauce

Tor Kenward Premier Tasting Event at Meadowood (Meadowood Resort, Napa) : A fat and stylized California Chardonnay, with buttered popcorn, vanilla oak, and lemon curd notes rushing over the palate. A bit of a bruiser with its butter-bomb, cheesy sex kitten personality, offering little delineation of flavors or real interest at this point. Too much of a good thing possibly at this stage? A wine I thought I was starting to like on the initial sips, until I actually pondered …

--- COLOR: Deep gold (tourmaline?). Decant or it gets real hazy! NOTE: Lovely nose, no heat, no rawness. Ripe pineapple, banana, lemon oil, browned marshmallows. Mouth has med+ opulence, loads of lemon oil & sweet glycerin. That's what really attracted me to this wine. Finish is beautiful citrus creme brulee. Fully integrated, well-rounded. Not a harsh edge to be found. DECANT: Just for sediment. GLASS USED: Bordeaux TASTE: 9.3 COST: 70 VALUE: 7.0 PREVIOUSLY TASTED: 07/09 TRY AGAIN: n/a PAIRING: …
