Relic Wines Cabernet Sauvignon Corona Vineyard

A very serious cab with loads of structure and dark earthy flavors. Big energetic finish. Not fun on first night as too tight. Opened up by second night and score reflects its day #2 performance. Wish I had another to age for 3-5 years to see how it evolves.

Very nice bottle with lots of energy, dark red fruit and a long finish. Only thing missing was some added layers of complexity that perhaps age will add. This is still drinking on the young side but its so good at what it is, that it's totally enjoyable. Tannins are noticeable but so fine grained that the fruit and body carry them well and add zip. Very well made and none of the heavy barrel influences.
