What a vineyard and winemaking skills to make this village wine from a modest appelation. Medium+ intensity on the nose with red fruit, some blueberry, sous bois. Medium+ acidity, medium tannins, medium+ finish. Still very primary, no hurry

Pleasure to come back after a year to this fruity and elegant Santenay farmed from 50+ year old vines, fermented with 70% whole clusters. Pale+ ruby colour. Medium+ intensity ripe fruit sweet aroma of cherry jam, raspberries, undergrowth, roses, earth, hint of licorice. Medium body, silky, lean and elegant with fresh red fruit flavours, earthy notes, medium+ soft acidity, velvety medium tannins.

Elegant and silky Santenay made from 50+ year old vines, fermented with 70% whole clusters. Pale+ ruby colour. Medium+ intensity perfumed aroma of raspberries, strawberries, pomegranate, wet stones, roses, hints of spices and smoke. Medium body, velvety and elegant, great silky structure, earthy red fruit flavours, light tannins, medium+ round and juicy acidity.

Medium intensity with forest strawberry, raspberry, cherry, licorice, laurel. Medium+ acidity, medium- tannins, medium+ finish Very elegant. Still young

Confronté au Santenay VV de Paul Pillot. À l'ouverture il est assez fermé. Ça s'améliore peu en cours de soirée. Une texture rêche. 87 le 1er soir. Par contre, on remet le bouchon et le lendemain le vin s'est nettement amélioré, très bon. Des arômes de cassis et de cerises acidulées, des tannins modérés avec une trame légèrement tendue mais peu d'élevage apparent. Un bon vin mais à aérer sans faute: à épauler plusieurs heures à l'avance ou à carafer.

Nez passablement aromatique sur les épices, fruits rouges et une touche végétale style vendanges entières mais plutôt agréable. La bouche est belle, vibrante et énergique, avec un équilibre indéniable, longueur correcte mais superbe bouteille encore une fois de ce producteur talentueux. 89-90

Highly perfumed with red berry and cherry fruits a plenty. It has lovely flesh and spice and possesses excellent depth for its level and an energetic finish.
