A winning wine in this price range, but really needs a decent air time. Two nights upon opening it really shines with it’s refreshing acidity and minerality. There is initally some prominent oak that integrates much better with time, blackberry cherry sweet spices (clove, vanilla), delicate chocolate, pepper tobacco and dried herbs. Open it the day before and enjoy for a few more days

somewhat of the classic malbec, does not have the deep down chalkiness or dustiness, but has the tannin structure. not as inky a purple, but a fine Tuesday wine

This was excellent with our steaks thiis evening, definitely not at it's end, but question whether aging Malbec really has an impact on the wine in a positive way, and also feel there is a risk that the hefty alc. % will likely start to take this out of balance over the coming years, so hence, drink up - Dark, no sign of ambering at the rim, full bodied, hefty with surprisingly no heat considering over 15% alc. sweet, nose …

Have to agree with the comment below...this wine is not past it's prime..in its sweet spot. Paired with beef and lamb and was a perfect pair. Still has plenty of time. Enjoy!

Really nice wine that’s drinking beautifully here with a soft decent and 30 min of air. I found this to be perfectly balanced at this point of its maturity.

Drinking really nicely here with food. It is showing bright red fruit and acidity, but pairing with a nice red meat, in our case we paired with a grilled fillet and chimichurri, then the fruit rounds out more to purple and the acidity is more muted. I’m very disappointed with the 12 CellarTracker tasters Who said the drinking window on this wine closed in 2018. This wine is drinking well at well for the next few years. I would say …

this didn't need any decanting. It was damn near perfect. Wish we had bought more than one, then I saw how much we paid for it and understand why we didn't get a second bottle. The notes say drink by 2018 and I think they are right. Its peaked and we got to it in time. Lucky us.

Norma y yo tomamos esta botella despues de su llegada en marzo o abril. Nos gustó mucho. Probablemente el mejor Malbec que jamás he tomado en mi vida.

Needs about an hour of decanting to really open up and show its depth of body: nice fruit with a balance of pepper, allspice and crushed stone. Wine shows good balance throughout the profile.

Decanted and drank over time. Wine is soft and round after about thirty minutes, which was beautiful paired with a flank steak and chimichurri. I wouldn't say this wine will improve with time and clearly is improved with food. It's big purple fruit up front, some tobacco but little in the way of earth, loam or minerals. Some shiitake mushroom exists for just a second on the mid palate. The finish gives a breath of raisin like fruit lingering in …

Drinking well now; amazing value for the $$. This wine is better than anything we had in Argentina for 3x the cost (albeit restaurant vs retail comparison. As a pop and pour this needs some time and agitation. Fruit forward but with great structure especially tannins and some earth through Kate body to finish; the wine is seamless. That said the fruit is mostly singularly dimensional and puts red cherries against some cigar smoke. Hence the 91.

Appearance: Clear, deep purple color, legs. Nose: Clean, intense aromas of dark berries, vanilla, oak, vegetables. Developing. Palate: Dry, medium acidity & alcohol, medium(+) tannin & body. Medium intensity of dark berry, vanilla, spice flavors. medium finish. Conclusion: Very good quality wine. Can drink now, but has further potential to age.

forrest trees, sweetness through the alcohol, grilled red paprika, softer and restriander than the Malbec, the tannins are more present and more angular, the complexity is a little bit lacking

No real notes as we drank this on vacation. My last bottle and I enjoyed everyone of them. Just lovely wines that I feel could age a little I just never gave them a chance cause I liked what they give you when young.

Popped & poured. Reading the other reviews looks like it should have set it aside for a couple of hours. Deep purple, almost indigo color. Nose of violet and dark fruit. Palate was all fruit, almost raisiny. Enough tannin to stay out of the jam category, but still pretty one-dimensional. 3/25/13. Some vegetal notes fright after opening, but otherwise consistent with previous comments. 4/5/14 Liked it a little better this time. If you didn't know anything about wine, I think …
