Enjoying 15 years old Grapes from David Abreu’s Howell Mtn and St Helena vineyards. 76% CS | 12.5% ML | 12.5% CF | 1.5% PV Amazing wine Pours brownish purple in the glass with some static and slightly stained tears Strong nose of strong coffee and toffee. Faded dried plum Palate is absolutely divine. Strong coffee beans plus some dried plum and low tannins on the finish. Elegant finish and low acid. Med-to-full bodied This is magnificent stuff. Not cheap …

Amazing. Double decanted but hardly needed as there minimal sediment. Cork was excellent. Enjoyed over several hours and the wine was outstanding from the first taste to the last drop. Soft yet flavorful and seems to be in its prime.

Soft and broken cork created some fear, but the wine was spectacular. Predominant cherry with an earth presence. Very big and drinking well now. Two hour decant was worthwhile.

No detailed notes taken. We dived into four of the 2019 Napa heavyweights. This vintage really sings a tune of density, aromatic depth, complexity, and precision, all the while maintaining a good freshness. The fruit, though ripe, doesn't quite tip into the overt ripeness we saw back in 2015. And it's structured and fresh, (but not 2013 structured), carrying its weight with grace. Given a bit more time, these wines are bound to shed their youthful exuberance, evolving into something …

During a merchant tasting, no detailed tasting notes. From MAG. Well made, still too rich for my palate, dense tannins.

Tasted at a merchant event, only brief notes: From Magnum. Extracted ripe fruit of black currant, red currant, supported by a mineral layer. Also dark chocolate, smoke and herbaceous notes. Ripe and powerful palate, in good balance. An impressive, towering Napa.

Not scoring again as this bottle is also flawed. Not sure why the two bottles I bought were syrupy. Cork looked fine so not fried.

Dark color, decanted for an hr. Delicious on the palate with a long finish.

Not scoring bc I have to assume the wine was not properly stored and thus flawed. The nose was all over the place. Forest floor funk on day 1. Papaya/mango on day 2. Port on day 3. The taste was off as well. Too bad. Was looking forward to this bottle.

This rich and layered Cabernet blend is drinking beautifully right now, with plush fruit and a round mouthfeel that make this wine go down oh... so... easily. Dark red in color and full in body, the wine offers captivating aromas of blackberry, black cherry, cocoa powder, tapenade, and dried herbs. The flavors are silky but powerful, with notes of blueberry, mocha, gravel, and mulberry, with fine, integrated, and ripe tannins. Decant at least two hours, since it gains precision with …

Tightly coiled. Good construction. Most likely better with additional time in bottle.

Bought these wines at release for $425, and what a complete waste. Completely over extracted and overdone, with a syrupy and soupy palate and finish. Only redeeming quality is the nose which once the oak blows off reveals some evergreen and forest notes. Haven’t bought off their list for years. These wines auction for half the price, which even then is insane. Tough loss!

Wow! There are a lot of wines that cost one tenth of this and are almost as good, but if you have the bucks, try this. Simply lovely.
