Bakkheia Aequitas

{screwcap, 14.2%} 1882 bottles this year. Bright crimson garnet. Pungent cranberry aromas; grapey and fruit-driven, although not overly sweet-smelling. Plummy on the palate, less pointed than the nose. Medium acidity, low softly gritty tannins speaking of very discreet (old) oak. Medium weight, a surprisingly drying, almost astringent palate of medium length. Just opened & poured - I wonder whether air would help. Plenty to be kept til tomorrow - will report back.
