Beautiful burnished gold color, with a bit of a rosy copper glow. On the nose, it smells of old things: bruised apple, moldering underbrush (in a good way), old leather, old wood, old libraries. It's not complex, but it has a nobility of bearing. With some air in the glass, there is also an evocative whiff of lemon-iced cookie—perhaps a glimpse back in time to its youth?
