Not built to last that long. No fruit left, disjointed alcohol.

On the nose, notes of kirsch, followed by mature sherries in the mouth. Acidity is still there, but I feel it is loosing its balance with an aftertaste on the alcoholic side. I don’t think it will improve over time.

3 years ago I decided to age this wine and I must admit it was a good decision. The wine is still very fresh with solid acidity, great focus and purity. Medium body, juicy fruit,bitter-sweet touch. At a great spot right now.

14.5% alc. 60% Grenache, 40% Syrah, organic, 4ha, 40 years old vineyards. Small production of around 10,000 bottles. Granite/red light colour, dullish, see through. Aroma shows cherries, raspberries, spices, and a nice stony minerality. Flavours repeat, with leather as well. Drying dusty tannins, not too strong. Medium bodied, medium acidity, a nice freshness to the wine. Maybe can age another 5 years max. Ready to drink now though. Well made, good structure.

Fait un peu bonbon mais dans le genre c'est bien fait. Gros fruit avec acidité moyenne et tannins enrobés, finale assez longue et capiteuse.

90% Grenache, 10% Syrah, organic, 4ha, 40 years old vineyards. DO Méntrida south-west from Madrid. Produced 10.000 btls. Stony and cool in character with great structure and pronounced minerality. Strong tannins and lifted acidity, medium body, sour red fruit, leathery mouthfeel. Long, good midpalate. Focused and balanced. My guess is this gets better with more age.

light colored and medium to light bodied, this is a pleasant grenache (or garnacha) with 1/10 syrah, cherries and raspberries on the nose, with subtle spices, nice acidity, soft tannins & medium finish. not a favorite, but well made.

The Sampler (Angel, london) : Bright purple in colour, this wine showed toasty oak, primary fruit and vanilla on the nose. The palate has a good mouth feel with sweet fruit flavours. I found it difficult to discern much more – perhaps this sample was a little oxidised?
