I purchased this wine because it was on the menu at Chilies. I also purchased the Merlot on the menu too. I was pleasantly surprised on this Cabernet. It was smooth and I was able to taste other notes of berries. The label also says that this wine has notes of hazelnuts and cinnamon, however, I was not able to taste these. My daughter and boyfriend also enjoyed this wine. I will definitely buy this again and I can't wait …

Nose of strawberry. Short finish. Tastes of black and blueberries. Not the best wine I’ve had but not bad for the price point. I think now is the right time to drink this.

Served late to guests and tried balance of bottle next day, solid Rutherford, not as much dust as hoped, pretty consistent with last TN, want to pull this out again in a year or so when it's softened just a bit more and should be at its peak.

Popped and poured. Tight out of the bottle, opening up over several hours. Good structure. Blackberry and chocolate with good body. Not a great deal of complexity. Prominent powdery tannins. Would hold for 2-3 more years.

Solid performer, fruit forward, a bit too tart. Would be better with food, e.g, cheese pairing.

Concur with the reviewer who described this as a jammy contemporary cabernet with a sweet palate. I got a fair amount of strawberry before it opened up fully. More chocolate and less strawberry after that.

I was hoping that that was an amazing steal with a great QPR given the wine maker is Aaron Pott. Somewhat disappointed - nice fruit - but nothing really special.

Contemporary, Californian. High extract, sweet-centered palate. Jammy currant and choco-oak aromas and flavours. 2.5/5

Maybe it's just me but this was uninspiring. The nose is almost non-existent but it eventually displays shades of black and blue fruit to go with a mid-bodied, over-extracted, and simplistic style. Certainly quaffable but overpriced.

Not good. This is currently being hyped by Wine Library, which should be your first warning. They have a very poor track record in my personal expereince. That is why - having been burned more than once on these "case buy" deals - I typically only buy a single bottle before diving in deeper. Back to the wine. Sorry, but this is plonk. Thin, watery lacking any character whatsoever. I actually poured a glass, then vacuumed it and went on …

Ok, once again underwhelmed. PnPed but it sat a while before imbibing. If it was too young, mea culpa.

Tasted at Vino Volo, John Wayne Airport in the OC. By far the best of this flight. The first two (Lodi & Paso) were crap. This ca is much smoother, and more integrated. Black cherry and eucalyptus aromas, with berry, roasted meat, and espresso flavors. Still quite tannic, it actually works for this wine. Lots of time left, would be interesting to follow over the next 5-10 years.

I have always thought Carr makes one of the best Napa cabs under $20. The '11 is a little tight right now. I drank over two days. Day one - lots of bramble and herbal notes and the tannins were a bit harsh. The second day it opened up, the tannins softened and it developed some nice depth - cocoa and blackberry pie. Great QPR.

Thought this was delicious. Ready to drink now and easy on the palate. Softening more like a merlot than a heavy napa cab. Highly approachable and balanced. Especially for price.

Tastes more like Alexander Valley. It's alright. Good QPR

Black currant, leather, and some spice on the nose, Dark cherry, chocolate, with a touch of vanilla on the palate.

I agree about this being understated. I was underwhelmed. Maybe it is too young, maybe it needed to be opened for a day or so before drinking. I have another, I will wait in hope.

Pleasing nose and smooth, but a bit understated on the palate. Might have left a better impression if we had decanted for a couple of hours prior to drinking. We'll give it a second try though.
