Over the top. Not much complexity here. Overrated in my opinion.

This is an excellent typical Alsacian Riesling in a style that came over drier than the previous bottle. Pale yellow color, Intense bouquet with grapefruit and peaches, a lot of stones and minerals on the palate and a 40+sec.finish. This wine can survive at least 5 years of cellaring and maybe even gain some complexity.

A bottle purchased at the producer while visiting in 2021. Much more open and ready to drink now, but still with pronounced acidity and considerable aging potential. It is just entering the drinking window. Citrus driven, with a powerful nose focused on ripe lemon supported by fresh apricots. A tiny hint of petroleum, but not overpowering. Fruit driven more than mineral, but in a highly structured way. Tastes close to bone-dry to me. Much more fun to drink than in …

Wow, too riesling in the glass. Off restaurant list in Le Sufflot. Had the Schlossberg and Fürstentum side by side. Wonderfully complex petrol nose fresh and generous. Precise finish. Hard to say which was better. The Fürstentum was may be even a touch more elegant. Anyway. First time I had this producer and I am impressed.

Superbe.

Great riesling. Fresh, mineral with just a hint of sweetness at the back. Great with a japanese/korean fusion dinner

Albert Mann is undoubtedly one of the most reliable sources for high quality Alsace wine and, if I’m not mistaken, this is their flagship. Beautiful golden color with, on the nose and palate peaches, melons and citrus fruit, a nice minerality, adequate acidity with a slight touch of residual sugar (certainly not bone-dry) and a voluptuous long finish. This wine is already enjoyable now, but will improve considerably for many years to come. Prices of these wines are on the …

Firm and mineral but with also a nice rich undertone of fruit, light apple and citrus core. Bone dry wine, stone fruits, lacked that petroglyphs feel of Riesling and more of a laser like focussed wine. Very very solid 92 and kept its own again variety of Franco/Chinese dishes at Yam'Tcha , Paris.

Bottle 1414g. ☹️. Moderately intense aromas of pear, white blossom and confectioner's sugar. Dry, with elevated, prickly acidity, full-boded, 14°. Some phenolic texture and pithy bitterness. Seems youthful and tight; wants time/room to run. Pear on the palate, a little ginger. Like the fact that it says "dry wine" on the back label. Cannot explain the difference in bottle weight from previous tastings.

Bottle 1343g. Moderately intense musky aromas, honey, mushroom, baked pear. Dry, with elevated, zippy acidity, full-bodied, 14°. Pear, ginger, mushroom. Probably some botrytized grapes. A little rich, a little spicy, a little savory.

A little dense upfront, softened after a day but was tart and crisp out of the bottle. Quite light for a modern Alsace. A nice example.

A: Young Riesling (read the list). Not too intense but restrained, white flowers, mainly citrous (lemon and lime) and some steeliness on the nose. A bit of wet stones. Quite rich on the palate, med+ body and acidity but not aggressive, rather soft. Not as “spiky” as German Rieslings, acidity more integrated. Med+ citrous: lemons, lime, a bit of grape fruits. Floral too. already pretty rich and full, will be better in a few years.

Aromas of elevated intensity, baked pear, ginger, butternut squash, sage. Dry, with elevated, spicy acidity, touch of phenolic bitterness; full bodied, 14°. Ripe and concentrated, well-balanced acidity, fruit, a few grams of rs, and the phenolic grip. Here comes the duck.

Tasted at the winery from a newly opened bottle. A clear step above the other four wines tasted at Albert Mann (2017 Cuvee Albert Riesling and Pinot Gris, 2014 Pinot Gris Hengst and 2017 Riesling Furstentum) and one of the best wines on our recent trip. Clearly too young to properly appreciate, but the potential is clear. Fresh as a daisy, with very mineral and floral aromatics. Bright citrus as well. The acidity is very nice, with a long lingering …
