Slightly funky nose on the front end which disappeared with decanting. Soft and lovely, versatile with food.

Smells like rocky earth with some smoke, flowers, and tart red fruit, plum, a bit of baby powder, delicate and pretty - if blind, I like to think I would go with something Sicilian, but I might also guess Beaujolais. Tastes just how it smells, but less restrained - tart juicy cranberry and plum, flowers, and rocky earth. Light bodied. Excellent acidity, refreshing. Some moderate powdery tannins.
