Still showing those same signs of age visibly now too. Some bricking at the rim. Nose of rustic raspberries and dark cherries with lots of used tobacco leaf and some graphite as well - nice mineral notes. Palate shows a reductive note with dark red fruit and some barnyard notes. Really nice still but I'd say it's about time to drink - don't see this improving with any more age though time has helped the alcohol mellow into the fruit.

Very nice. Showing some signs of age on the nose and palate. Still ripe but rustic dark cherries, dusty mocha and hints of tobacco leaf. Palate is showing more signs of age than the nose. Elegant and restrained cherry cola, with dried herbs and a little oak. Very nice.

Meritage from Mendoza - 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Cab Franc, 15% Merlot, 5% Petite Verdot. Slow ox'd about 3 hrs. Cab Franc really played a big role - big and spicy with a nice herbal component. No formal notes, drank out at dinner. I feel like a 100% Cab Franc from the same producer might be too much for me, but this was great. Definitely felt like a cross between Argentina and Bordeaux. Cherry sous boise, stewed red vegetables. Nice cinnamon elements. Really expressive and drinking well right now. Absolutely a Bordeaux styled wine but the fruit has more ripeness and lift as a whole when compared to Bordeaux.
