Another good Pomerol, especially for value. Chewy tannins. Soft with Dark fruit, cedar/oak, hints of chocolate, earthy, medium finish

Dark and full fruited, with a assigned sense of green but backed by lots of richness. Fresh.

Earthy, oak, pencil shavings, dark fruit. Big on the nose and the taste lingers for a long time. Good.

Dark berries, chocolate, oak, vanilla, and coffee. Better balanced than a year ago. The oak feels calmer, but there are very heavy oak barrels here; much of the flavor seems more influenced by the winemaking than the grape. Lower acidity than other Bordeaux wines, perhaps due to a dominance of Merlot? Nevertheless, a good wine that probably can handle a few more years in the cellar.

This is actually the second Pomerol wine from Moze Berthon, their first being (since some years now) Chateau Maillet. The cuvee is 85% merlot, 15% cabernet franc. Elegant, friendly, soft and fruity are the keywords to describe it. Red berry fruits combine with deeper forresty black ones. A mushroom flavour, in a good, fresh way, is also detectable. Dark in color, the nose is earthy and floral, with licorice, spice, plum and espresso notes. Medium-bodied, polished and silky, with a nice sweetness to the refined fruits, and a touch of spice with menthol in the finish. This is going to age nicely for at least 2 decades. 90-92

Medium-bodied, forward, soft, short and sweet, with an approachable, light red cherry finish. This will be best in its youth.
