Willoughby Park Chardonnay Kalgan Ironrock

A few years in the bottle has treated this wine very well. A bit more honeycomb/butterscotch and spicy vanilla coming out now, lovely deep golden colour, surprisingly lifted nose without oak dominating either smell or taste but clearly giving the rest of the wine structure. Thoroughly old school winemaking I think and I enjoyed it. I'll try my second and last bottle in a year or so but I would guess its developed about as much as its going to.

Citrus, peach, buttery oak and some floral notes. Plenty to like here if it's your style
