The palate is fresh and breezy, light/medium-bodied, oak-free, and with white flowers and a hint of peach. Restrained though; it’s really more texture than flavour at this stage, but wonderfully more-ish. Medium acidity and a medium-length finish round it off. Unlike the impressive '09 GCru Vaudesir (92pts) from the same producer recently noted, I found this '10 PCru Vaillons a disappointment. Clean and fresh white fruits with a dash of green asparagus but lacking any real concentration and no discernible minerality. Not closed as far as I could detect, rather fully ready for drinking - preferably in the next twelve months. Sound and gluggable enough - but in the end unnoteworthy.
