Picchetti Winery Graciano Terra Alta Vineyard

First time for me on this varietal and I am quite impressed. Rich dark red color, with an earthy nose. Flavors of dark fruits, oak, vanilla, tobacco, with a dry finish. Outstanding!

Nice pizza wine. Not familiar with this grape but it’s dark in color and feels like a warm climate wine and heavier in body. Nose is dark fruit but without distinctive character or complexity. Taste is relatively high in acid end-to-end; compliments the tomato sauce.
