Ripe, green nose with a bit of fruit. Medium-light mouth feel. Medium finish.

Pale violet colour for a typical Camenere nose: Blue cranberries, liquorice, cherries bathed in liquor, ... Smoky (too much), herby even. Dense, alcoholic on the palate, a bit unbalanced, needing more time to cool out My best Camenere ever? Still in pursuit... Visualize a truck-stop in the dead of night. Inky black-purple color, nose and palate of rubber and petrol and asphalt. Yuck.

a solid carmenere with nice fruit and good tannins. good mouthfeel, too. for $14 good QPR.

The best thing about this wine was the color. It tasted like angostura bitters.

Herbs, anis, plum and red fruit. Soft tannins, slightly hollow mid-palate. Medium to full bodied, ok finish.

CoolVines Tasting: Wines to go with BBQ (CoolVines, Princeton) : Dark purple/violet in the glass. N: med+ IBMP, but fresh and integrated with coffee/roasted nuts oak. French? P: excellent acidity, tart but with a juicy, New World fruit quality. Great oak integration, but "greenish tannins." Deep dark, almost inky color. More than medium bodied, thick and luscious. Smokey dark fruit, mocha and mineral on the nose. Big fruit. Not very acidic. Some minerals and cocoa with the fruit. Quite tannic. Spicy finish. They did a good job of integrating the alcohol.

REALLY taken back by this. Wasn't sure what to expect but very pleasantly surprised. Dark color. Dusty cinnamon / vanilla on the nose. Plums/dark fruit on the palate with firm tannins but an smooooth transition. Similar to an Australian fruit bomb but with more reserve and bigger tannins. Outstanding QPR.

deep and glinting jewel toned blueberry color. bright full juicy nose. creamy vanilla and spice, ginger cookie, nilla wafers on the nose. touch of oatmeal cinnamon, brown sugar. plums and black currant. high alcohol-bigger body-slick, like some australians, yet more appealing than overwhelming. blowsy, unapologetic, a bit of spice to pique the interest. intrigues above its pedigree. i call that value in wine and character or charisma in people.
