Nose and mouth reminiscent of Corton Charlemagne or even Montrachet. Hint of lime. Consumed at la petite mermaid Lamotte-Beuvron

A bit confused with that one, you can spot a typical Chardonnay from north of burgundy but It's like there is no harmony in the flavors, this wine is ok but strangely made/built or maybe this is the intent this winemaker was looking for...

Maconnais, Pouilly Fuisse, St. Veran, etc. (Jeff K's) : This is a chardonnay from the Loire Valley. Copper-gold in color. The nose is chalky with some lemons. On the palate, more grapefruit with a slightly oily texture. This turns bitter on the finish and has a decidedly woody/oaky heat to the finish which was its biggest issue. Still, it is a nice enough wine that is middle of the road in style.

A Cold, Foggy Afternoon in Sancerre-Mellot and Vacheron (Sancerre, France) : Rich with some oak showing. Strong lemony fruit with great acidity. Shockingly good for its price (12 euros).

Great stuff. Buttery with tons of minerals, citric acid, minerals, lime, acacia, peach, white flowers, and a touch spicy in the long mineral finish. Reminded me of a Meursault. From East of Sancerre, towards Burgundy.

Bell's French Tasting (Bell's Wine Shop, Washington DC) : A bit of pee and grass on the nose. Nice mix of chardonnay butter and minerals to this wine. Decent finish.
