Surprising what a year can do for this wine, considering having tasted the 2010 right before this. The 2009 shows a hint of age and honeyed fruit flavors on the nose, peach juice and ripe red apples. Nicely textured on the palate, this is made in a sweeter style to the 2010 and it shows. The sweetness here is nicely balanced with the acidity and flavor intensity, and all are nicely integrated.
