Faded significantly over the past year. Used to be very good but this bottle was too late. Thankfully it was my last. Recommend immediate consumption, but not for any occasion that "counts".

Tannins were unpleasantly out of control on opening - this bottle was not a pop and pour for sure. Given other CT comments, maybe my taster was off. After some time, and especially after a couple of days, it was very likable, well-balanced and harmonious, classic zin, with great fruit and structure. Clearly well-made.

Powerful. Spicy peppery dark fruit. Well integrated tannins. Carries the 14.7% alcohol nicely. Long finish with some complex flavors. Wish I had bout more. Very good QPR.

Very nice nose. Candy. Milk chocolate covered cherries. Med-full bodied and velvety smooth. It does have a touch of pepper / alcohol bite on the back end. Still very enjoyable and crowd-pleasing without being over the top. Pair with duck breast.

Pretty good deal I think this was picked up at total wine by the register. Deep purple nose has a musty wet earth scent, hint of pepper and blackberry. Definitely a pop and pour light tannins fruit forward. Jammy almost like a smugglers berry jam, some burn from alcohol. Finnish is tight. At the price not a bad pop and pour.

Not a Zin fan but this is one of the better ones as there's freshness about it which elevates it from the jammy. Blackberry and blueberry flavours give way to a clean finish.

Love this Zin. Jammy dark fruit, some smoked bacon and spice make this a winner for $9 on sale at the winery. Similar to the Shenandoah 2013 Special reserve, but with darker fruit and better balance of acidity. Best of all I had this with a Jerk seasoned Pork Chop and wow it was perfect with the spicy food, the acidity worked so well. I usually have a feeling of intrepadation about twist off tops but it is becoming more common place with quality wines. This one is no different. Tasting cherries and a bit of vanilla (maybe!) Either way it's a nice wine. I would buy this again.
