I am adding a second note here because I think the bottle we tried in Feb may have actually been flawed after tasting this bottle. Dark fruits, resolved tannins, a bit less acid than ideal, some forest floor earthiness and spices. Don't think that these will continue to develop much, but are in a nice mature drinking window now. FYI - going back to amend previous note and remove score to denote flawed.

Nice lush cab. Easy drinking on a pop, decant, and pour. Not complex, but miles better than it was in its youth. Even in December 16 it was a little rough. No rush to finish my last bottle.

PnP - consumed over two nights. I have historically always really enjoyed the Sisters wines from Jones Family but I have only had younger versions. In their youth, they had a great balance of juicy dark fruits, some earthiness and spice and enough acid to keep it all in place. A really great QPR for Napa cab. However this is the first bottle that I have tried with some age on it and I have to say that time has …

Great bottle, balanced fruit, earth and herb with solid acid. Held up over a few days.

Very consistent with recent experience and notes. Justa lush and lovely wine, and a great value (picked up for under $40). Would buy more at that price in a heartbeat. Not super complex, but a damn fine drink.

Pop and pour. What a lovely wine, drinking in a prime spot. Very open at this stage, with lush red and purple fruits. Well balanced, fabulous medium finish. Some sediment in final glass. Drink now, or over the next 2-3 years. Could drink this most any night and be very happy. It disappeared quickly.

I'm not going to give points on this. While I love The Sisters typically, I'm not sure what I think of this. It feels somewhat closed down both on the nose and palette after a 2 hour decant. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad but this bottle just doesn't offer as much as is typical of The Sisters. Both on the nose and palette you get a lot of oak, there is some fruit but it feels dominated by …

Trying to decide whether to purchase the 2010 Sisters...so I opened a 375 of the 2008. A bit of funk on the nose and a touch thin on the first sip. But, things only got better fom there. After about an hour of air, this gained a lot of richness and depth. Not overly complex, but an excellent Cali cab.

Always great wine. Love this stuff. Not as full and complex as the 2006 but very good nonetheless.

I will admit that this is still a bit young, but it gives you some hints into what it will become. The nose is a monster with a touch of heat but dominated by graphite, dark fruit and brown sugar. On the palate the dark fruit continues with a hint of cocoa. The tannins are still big here although after a 2+ hour decant they are not overpowering. This has a great structure that should develop over time as it …

Young nose of ripe dark fruit and some oak. Heavy, thick palate with some vanilla and ripe blackberries. A bit harsh on the tannins but has the stuffing I like. Needs a few years to settle down.

Decanted 2 hours and drank over 4. Nose of cherry jam, cassis, and wet leather. Beautiful spicy raspberry and cassis lead the way on the palate with a small hint of leather and vanilla. Excellent lush mouthfeel and medium+ pure red fruited finish. For my palate there's nothing keeping me from enjoying this now with some air. King Cab is being coy, c'mon Mike tell us how you really feel. Outstanding value in my opinion.

Nose of red cherries and pure cassis. A bit closed, but after about an hour there emerged (with coaxing) some cool reddish-black fruits. This is an intense wine with tons of gobby goodness lurking. Tremendous backbone really veils what this is all about....now: purity, creaminess, plush, menthol and leather. A real iron fist/ velvet glove wine, this has tremendous balance and depth. Finish is admirable as would be expected. I would say wait 2-3 years for this one and drink …

New World, Non-Cab, Bordeaux Varieties: Blind Red 4 - Subdued nose of red berry and cherry fruit followed by some toasty oak and maybe some violets. Smooth and supple but with very little finish or length. 55% Cabernet Sauvignon and 45% Cabernet Franc. Apparently a new label from Jones Family. Surprisingly soft and "slurpable", almost to a fault.
