Very nice, slightly less international and more of a sense of a place, though you would be hard to pin this down in a blind tasting. There is a rustic earthiness grounding the warm and inviting, but not sweet, fruit. Reasonably plump in the mouth, the finish has texture and character. Good with game.

An enjoyable and interesting wine. At times verging on the 'international' feel given the blend of Bordeaux and local grapes, there is a corresponding contrast between polish and a more rustic quality. Dark brooding fruits with brighter sweeter notes popping up, probably from the Grenache. Chocolately and drying, the tannins are rather gritty and the finish rather earthy. Good with a weekday steak or mushroom dish.
