Surprise packet, with a nod to the great QPR also. Drinking beautifully, nice berry, fruit, spice palette, with interesting texture and some elegant tannins for good measure. Very easy drinking. A great vintage that’s above what might be expected for a Côtes du Rhône. In a great drinking window too. 92 for mine

Drinking beautifully now which is a testament to this wonderful vintage. Medium-ruby in the glass with no bricking. Cola, spice, dark cherry, blackberry, orange peel and a touch of garrigue waft up on the expressive nose. Medium bodied, concentrated and with a lovely purity of dark fruit the palate strikes a nice balance between richness and freshness. One of my values of the year and still available on the market for sub £10 if you know where to look. Drink …
