Smoky currant and peppery herb nose. Full-bodied with good flavours and density; dry with smart tannins on the finish. 4/5

Deep purple colored with slight straining and a high viscosity (14.5% ABV). The nose has medium (-) intensity aromas of blueberry, mint, green pepper, black raspberry, lavender, cedar and violet. This is drinking well at the moment and in my mind, a very good value. I would not have suspected Cab Franc. Herbs and some dark fruit. Undecanted with a black bean burger and mac and cheese.

Opaque violet in color, this wine reveals black currants, white pepper, cinnamon, nutmeg and green bell pepper on the nose. The mouth feel is fuller bodied with raspberry compote and defined earthy undertones. The finish is very well integrated with the fruit, acidity and tannins in balance. 14.5% abv. Purchased for $15US, this is a well made offering from a quality producer. If tasted blind, I'd say Chinon. Imported by Petit Pois corp., T/A Sussex Wine Merchants, Moorestown, NJ.

Nice wine and a great value. Dark fruit profile with some cocoa powder notes, as well as pyrazine creeping in and out.

Deep garnet in color with purple hue. Nose of cherries, mocha, and hint of violets. Tastes of cherries, dark chocolate, and hint of blueberry. Lovely fruit. Fun to drink and well made. Drink over next 3-5.
