3rd of 4. 1st two bottles were disappointing (brett flaw on one, minor flaw on the other). This one is very nice. Tannins are fine but still there. Fruit is nice. Classic, nice wine. 13% abv.

Last of 3 bottles. Dark red color. Meat, iron, blackberry and blueberry notes. Medium body, medium acidity/tannins and long finish - palate was not as complex as nose (more fruit driven). 91+/-

Dark red color. On nose, savory tobacco, tart cherry, blackberry, iron and fig notes. Similar flavor profile on palate - medium body, medium tannins, high acidity and long finish. Very enjoyable. Improved substantially from last tasting in 2019. 93+/-

Bottle was unfortunately corked - really no aromas or palate to speak of other than wet cardboard

Double blind tasting Medium ruby with rim clearing Aromatics medium -. Initially some dusty cherry with no new oak. Later just dust and cardboard consistent with cork taint. Palate has a medium body. Acid medium +. Tannins medium +, fine grained and teeth and gums with a green stem quality. Alcohol medium +. Bitter cherry/raspberry Balance towards the acid. Finish bitter and acidic Dry glass notes of cardboard and smoke Rating withheld given cork taint. I guessed a cold climate …

Out of the gate this feels lithe and lively, but that's quickly followed by a huge core of deep, penetrating blue and black fruits. Still has ample tannins, but it's quite refined and drinkable. Feels heavier than it is just because of that rich fruit, but is by no means cloying. I don't drink a lot of Syrahs these days, but this is an outstanding example. Highly delicious.

Massive brett. It ruined the nose and the taste. Undrinkable. I have several bottles, so I opened another one.

This was my 2nd bottle opened tonight - the 1st had a massive brett flaw. I was worried about this one as well, there were some slight hints of brett, but ultimately it was drinkable. Some fruit showed up after a little air. Dark, rich color. It was otherwise a bit dull though. Disappointing.

Very satisfying wine. I liked every sip from its somewhat closed opening to when it really opened up full flower by the second night. Nice fruit, but not too fruit-forward. Has subtlety. I'd stopped drinking Crozes Hermitage because I wasn't getting good ones. This is a good one. Seems fairly priced and a good vintage for it.

night one, after a couple hour decant=really nice open nose but the palate is not there imo. accessible--particularly with food-- but there's an astringence that the modest fruit fights with. same observation on night two have to imagine that additional cellaring will allow the palate to appropriately match the nose.

A pretty serious Crozes, peppery, tense, and high-toned, but with some bloody meat lurking in the finish. Satisfying.

dense purple in the glass. nose with meat, olives, and dark berries. good acidity and medium plus bodied. flavors mirror the nose with blackberry, mineral, and a twinge of astringency on the back end. medium grade sandy tannin. left half the bottle 24 hours uncorked. loosened up over a day but really didn't change the profile.

Not ready to go but still nice with some air. I get a strong black pepper finish after about a day of being open in the fridge.

Needed some air. Dark black/purple. Bacon fat, blackberry, iron and tobacco - medium intensity on the nose with very complex notes. On palate, medium body/acidity, medium+ tannins and long finish. Primarily black fruits on palate. Enjoyable. 91+/- Needs some time as prior taster noted.

91+. Juicy. Balanced. A little grip. Needs another 2-3 years.
