Classic big California cab. Maybe air out for 30 minutes before drinking. Dark fruit, smooth tans, moderate length finish, nothing spectacular in terms of length. Little bit of licorice and dark fruit. Drink now

A velvety smooth rich Cab. Soft tannins and ripe cherry with a hint of earth. A solid Cab from a consistently excellent producer

Bold Dark Cherry with a hint of Vanilla, a powerful mix of fruit and ripe soft Tannins. Touch of Tobacco and Spice - keeps the taste buds alive with notes of cocoa and slate. Well balanced with a long luscious fruit filled finish. A perfect steak partner that is drinking superbly well.

I think it has a lot of years left but is good now. These 2013 cabs are big wines.

A consistently well made Cab from Paul Hobbs. Great fruit and well balanced tannins and acidity.

First time drinking this wine. They sold it to me as a Paul Hobbs wine, although he is the consulting winemaker. Dark purple in color with a beautiful nose of blueberry, cherry, and perfume. This had a nice flavor on the pop and pour but needed time to develop a finish. Not a big wine more medium-bodied. This was much better as it got air. Drank over several hours and it definitely improved with time. As a 2013 I was …

Dark fruit - Black Cherry with subtle earthy notes . Soft tannins with good balance of acidity and fruit. Soft mouthfeel with notes of cherry, cassis and a hint of leather. A well balanced gem of a wine from the Dunphys with help from Paul Hobbs. Long velvety finish with solid fruit. Was the perfect partner for a Rib-Eye.

Nose: Green brambles, red fruits (like some cranberries and raspberries), oak and some heat Palate: Matches the nose completely with the integration of some earth with the red fruits and slightly bitter tannins. Medium dark Ruby. Dry with a medium amount of grippy tannins. Medium body with light-plus acidity. Good finish of about 8 seconds. Straight from a pop and pour, somehow drinking a little too juicy, slightly harsh, oaky and lots of heat. Day 2: Red fruits become slightly …

Deep beautiful color. Black cherries, plum and damp forest floor on the nose. Dark cherries with some heat on the palate. One plus minute on the finish. This will go up 1-2 pts with 2-3 more years. Black Cordon is a hidden gem that Paul Hobbs consults without the tariff of Hobbs label.

Dark inky purple in color. On the nose a mix of blueberries and plumb. On the palate a huge extracted wine with dark fruits and cassis - velvety. Smooth and long finish. You can tell Paul Hobbs consulted on this project. Very nice
