Opened one hour before drinking (no decant). This has improved nicely over the past few months. Rich, meaty nose. Tongue drying palate. Medium intensity tannins on the medium finish. Nice QPR blend from Lebanon. 40% Syrah, 30% CF, 30% CS

Différent, sauvage, épicé, boisé. Il y a de meilleurs Q/P dans cette région peu visité.

Enjoyable, the spice from the carignan really comes through.

30 min decant. Deep magenta color. Dried meat and prune on the subtle nose. Smooth, very dry palate, with nice meatiness and spiciness. Soft tannins on the medium finish. The weak nose is what diminishes this otherwise good QPR wine.

Black fruit, slightly sweet. An overall pleasant, simple, blandly one-dimensional wine.

I've enjoyed this syrah/cabernet blend in previous years which invariably displayed a chunky, rustic charm and beguiling sense of place. But this vintage is bland and commercial in style with too much sweet vanilla oak and not enough structure or concentration.

30 min decant. Fennel (think anise), earth, cinnamon and Summer sausage on rich nose. Super smooth palate with good acidity and mouth drying tannins. Soft, rounded tannins on medium finish.

Very pleasant surprise. Competent Bord. blend. Strong tannic grip balanced by soft red fruits. Light to medium weight. Short finish.

Tight on opening, 1/2 hour later was 89 pts, but faded to the point we had to add water to finish.

Nice wine. Old world nose with earth, a hint of black pepper and leather. A smooth black currant came through after a while. In the mouth it was thin, but ont harsh at all. Lacks finish, though. Nice wine for the price, I wasn't expecting too much and liked it. Personally I wouldn't keep much longer but should hold up well until 2013.

Ruby red with a lovely expressive nose: aromas of cooked bacon, green pepper, blackcurrant leaf and thyme. Delicate and fresh on the palate with light spicy tannins. Like the nose the flavours are earthy and savoury rather than fruity with graphite, green pepper and smoky coffee notes. Lovely and good value.

Decanted two hours. Candied cherries on the nose and palate, slightly Beaujolais-like. Nice structure for the price. A touch of quality oak. The candied aspect of the fruit is bothersome, but everything else is solid for a $14 Lebanese wine.

Corks: Mediterranean (Rossford, OH) : Great nose - dark and minty. Good structure, nice food wine. Creamy oak.

London Wine Fair - day three (London) : Soft fruit on the entry with a touch of sweetness but then tannic bite coming through. Purple colour - short finish. Average.

Not decanted, perhaps I should have. This has a really lovely nose of rubber, dark fruits and what I think is rosemary. The palate however is basil, black currant and more rubber - a bit of a disappointment after the nose. I want to say this will settle in 2-3 years but I dont feel like what fruit there is will last.

color deep ruby shinny look, nose herbaceous with licorice hints, the pallet is fruity but rise at the end uncomfortable sharp tannins that obscures the finesse and the fruits

13,5/20 Rubis avec qq reflets orangs au pourtour. Au nez bois bien prsent sans trop. Fruit, cassis. Bonne expression En bouche l'attaque s'avre charnu mais avec une sensation de vieux tonneau qui ont dj donnes.... Cela arrondit un peu trop.... si bien que le ct fruit s'estompe rapidement. Dommage.... Trop de bois. consommer sans attendre.

13% A very attractive nose here. Lots of floral lift and scent. On the palate, there's nice, attractive, open fruit. The tannins become somewhat astringent on the finish. Good structure and balance. Nice.
