Point Concepción Pinot Grigio Celestina

WOW! Absolutely beautiful and unique red rose color in the bottle and regular glass, but turns more orange (how appropriate!) when viewed before a light source. Animal funkiness (which I LOVE) wrapped around marsaka cherries and oregano on the nose. The nose follows to the palate with the addition of strawberry (and seeds), pear, and something else I just can't define. Bright salmon in color, with elegant cranberry, floral, and orange peel aromas. Juicy flavors of strawberry, raspberry, and even some tropical fruit notes, with fresh herb. This is an interesting pink pinot grigio, and I can see how this wine could be divisive. It's somewhat like a rose', with just a touch of citrus fruit. It's an easy drinker, and I like it. The wine hit its stride after about an hour of air.

Perfume on the nose, acidity and sweet cherry fruit and spice on the palate. Viscous wine with acidity and spice. Very nice!

Medium color to this interesting rose' treatment of a Pinot Grigio. Crisp and dry with a nice mouthfeel. Long finish. Good first wine with the eclectic Thanksgiving dinner.

Good balanced rose. Definitely a lot of watermelon on the nose. Crisp acidity, a hint a tannin and a bit of sweetness in the mouth. Decent finish. Quite different from the white version of Pinot Grigio; the extraction from the skins adds quite a bit.

Rich wine, much more than I expected from a Pinot Grigio, even one left on the skins for an extended time. Nice rich nose, watermelon in particular, and on the palate, rich fruit and round mouthfeel. Also some spice that mixes well.
