Fruits faded - way past its prime. Tobacco notes. Won’t repurchase. Edit — I didn’t consider bottle shock. Removed my rating.

QPR is not great Nose of sweet tobacco, oak spices, ripe fruit. Palate is richly layered with super ripe fruit layered in expensive oak. Not unpleasant at all but a rather simple formula. Wished for more layered complexity at this price. Would not buy again.

No bricking observed Nose has a single attractive note of sweet tobacco Palate is silky smooth, well integrated oak, with ripe fruit. Decent finish showing some sweet tobacco flavors. Not very complex but very good for what it is. Not a “reserve” quality wine in my opinion.

From magnum: sweet nose of cedar, pencil box, red berry bramble, and some noticeable alcohol. The palate brings a silky voluptuous mouthfeel, lifting acidity, warming fed fruit, and hints of toasted oak. Really quite splendid!

Enjoyed again and this is One of the reasons Washington Cabernet should be appreciated throughout the world. This one is delicious, a full mouth coding, Cabernet fruit, structure and joy.

Real nice wine. Decanted for a couple of hours, and opened up nicely. Well integrated, silky, dark fruits, with life left to it. Looking forward as this warms up from my cellar, should be even better! Enjoy

Popped and poured. Started out very oaky and youthful. Took about an hour to settle down into a nice wine. Nose has lots of oak notes, some nice fruit and seems rich. Palate is Smooth, rich and shows the heavy oak influence. There's nice ripe fruit notes to go with the oak. Finishes decently long. Not very complex and seems one dimensional, though it is a nice dimension. QPR is off for me. Would not buy again at this price.

Fought my way through the hard wax. Cork was soft, did not come out cleanly. Wine was exceptional, continued to evolve throughout evening over 5 hours of dinner, thank you 3L (original decant of 2 hours). Smaller bottles would be a drink soon.

Decanted 2 hrs. Big, rich wine. Resolved and paired well with a 1.5" sirloin steak. In a great place right now. I will finish my remaining bottles over next 2 years.

Creme de Cassis, baking spices, lilly, hint of granite. Plush mouthfeel, smooth acidity and well integrated tannins. Drinking very nicely. Luxurious.

Very nice, but not truly stellar. Perhaps it's gone too long? No one thing wrong, just not exceptional as I remember some earlier Abeja cabs..

Very good but did not knock my socks off. Tasty dark fruit and balanced on palate but not a lot of complexity or savory/mineral notes. Medium nose and finish. Medium to full body. Decanted an hour before. Better 2nd and 3rd day. Not sure it wil age better, have a few 750s which I will start hitting.

Some heat on the end upon opening. This dissipated over a two hour decant. Re-bottled and served 90 minutes later. Big nose of black and blue fruit. Lovely upon entry with the fruit matching the nose. Supple and full mid-palate, leading to a long balanced finish.

Decanted about an hour. Dark fruit nose, somewhat muted. Deep red to dark purple color. Tasty mouthful of dark berry fruits, slight pencil shavings. Well rounded with long finish. Probably at plateau. Enjoyed with Indonesian chili ribs. Prior to this our TMACS (Walla Walla) dinner party enjoyed Chateau Fortia 2010 Chateauneuf-du-pape, Tapteil 2012 Red Mountain blend, Cayuse 2011 En Cerise and 2007 Macarico Aglianico del Vulture.

This was a nice wine. I'm not certain the QPR is very good though. It feels like a wine that was the result of letting grapes get very ripe and then oaking the heck out of the resulting wine. The nose is pleasant with lots of oak character. The palate was very smooth and lush. I liked it until the finish which seemed short. My wife called the finish bitter. It just seems very oak influenced to me. For me …

Opened in bottle for few hours. Could just POP. DELICIOUS. medium - dark red in glass, very nice nose of dark fruit and some spice, minerality. Palate shows plenty of tannins balanced with the flavor mostly of dark fruit and some cherry. Full body. Nice finish. Favors did not diminish over several hour dinner (tritip). Agree with a previous reviewer that this has a number of years left. Will decant next bottle for fun to see if the wonderful flavors …

Plush, ripe cabernet. Ripe cassis, intense plum notes. Some of the acidity has faded from the last bottle, and the tannins are nearly completely integrated. A fit flabby today- I'd say drink up.

Finally opened the one bottle I had been saving and coveting for a few years. It did not disappoint. Although - I will say, the aging was not particularly necessary. It was so well balanced and structured that it was just as lip-smacking in its youth as it was at age 9. I had to wonder if perhaps it was in a little bit of a muted phase. No bother, I still enjoyed every drop of this magnificent wine. Rich …

This wine, has years to go! 30 minute decant at El Gaucho, cork looked brand new, color, couldn't tell due to how low the lights are inside, but nose, taste, how long it lingered, you would have guessed a wine 5-10 years younger! Still plenty of acid that would allow another 5 years on this. Fruit, spice, well integrated, medium/long finish. Nice wine

WA wine simply doesn't get better than this. Medium dark ruby with only the very hint of brick red in edge. Nose is a tour de force of cassis, sweet leather, very mild grape seed, wild strawberries, cedar. Taste of complex compete in complete balance, lithe and in perfect equilibrium as it goes down. Zero tannin. Zero signs of age. Could not be more perfect. Bravo.

While the regular bottling of the Abeja can be enjoyed now and improve with aging, the reserve is very tannic now and did not open up much over the two hour dinner. The wine shows a lot of depth. However, I would wait at least 4 more years before trying another bottle.

Bigger WA cab, but not overpowering. Showing similarly to other cabs by Abeja in Oh-9, but I'm hopeful this will open up and become bigger and better. I suspect it just needs time to reach the heights of previous vintages (or hopefully close).

Tannins have softened, this is a nice and pure WA cab now. It does have the typical Walla Walla cab green pepper note, for me that really limits how much I can enjoy it.

No formal notes, but this wine was quite tight the first hour and opened nicely while the white was enjoyed. By that time the grass-fed rib eye came and paired really well with the wine. Not quite the impressive wine that I remember, but still quite good paired with food or by itself. Still plenty of life left in this one.
