Gave it two hours before before the first glass - almost a necessity with Peter's glass stoppers. Very dark in the glass, appearing heavier than it is - night one, herbs, meat and some dust on the nose... much more earth than fruit. Rich mouth feel and soft tannins. The fruit started to arrive over the evening, but the heavier syrah notes took center stage on night one. The following morning was all fruit - raspberries and blackberries, and by …

A lovely, fruity wine with enough complexity to make it interesting. A very good wine that I would highly recommend.

Sweet red fruit. Vanilla notes from the oak. Very nice. A little hot. Showed better the second day.

Distinctly Wasington, with sweet red and bright black fruits on the nose. A bit more oak than I'd like to see, but this is "entry-level" stuff. Still, the fruit is vibrant. Some earthy notes on this as well, which makes the nose more distinct. Palate weight is medium to full, but smooth up-front. Sandelwood, mostly black fruit and not bashful at all. Quite tasty, but for the slight heat spike on the finish. Good QPR.

- Medium forming legs. It's balanced and has flavours of cherry and black pepper with a medium body. Angular texture with a medium finish - A lot of fruit. Cab comes off as binding juice with Zin fruit and Syrah fruit dominating, giving way to fantastic pepper and a spicy finish with a slight hint of oak. Enjoyable wine, especially given the blend.

Nice, easy drinker. A lot of fresh fruit on the nose and palate with a nice touch of oak. Good wine for a BBQ.

Thanksgiving at the In-Laws : I always like this wine, but the in-laws like it even better. It has so much fruit and varietal complexity. A fair amount of oak showing. I think it will age, but I keep drinking mine so I will probably never know. So many different red and purple fruit nuances. Not a lot of depth, but very wide. And quite easy to drink.

No formal notes, from Christmas. A few steps up from the RTW and much better. Good fruit up front and the merlot packs the typical mouthfeel and finish. Seemed that towards the end of the bottle that I could pick up a little bit of a chocolate note. Still it is a toss up for the price and I would probably say no on another purchase.
