Deep brick red colour. Aroma is subtle with hints of oak & spice. In the mouth it is rich with dried fruit aromas with tea, clove and high coa coa dark chocolate; it is lightly gripping with great balance & length. This wine is rich in tertiary characters, very well developed and, technically speaking, tasty. I would definitely suggest drinking now, as there is nothing left to develop in this wine.

2 & 1/2 years since last bottle. Still a marvellous, long, interesting wine. Plenty of bottles left to enjoy. Thanks to screwcap should be good for the next 10 years.

The wine looks medium ruby to garnet coloured, with the age showing through brick edges. The legs are fast. It smells like mulberry, blackberry, oak and chocolate and cigar box. It tastes like blackberry, but has a caramel richness. The body is full. The wine has satin-like texture. It has a really long finish.

last bottle of the day after a broad selection of decent shiraz. This cabernet merlot blend shone like a beacon. After 8 years, it has become soft, cedary, but still lots of fruit. An excellent example of the amarone method. Simply stunning.

Deep garnet in color with purple hue. Nose of dark berries and moca. Taste of dark cherries, blackberries, dark chocolate, and hint of earth. Fresh, young, and rich fruit. Long life ahead. Lovely wine.

Yep all good, still pretty dense purple and ungiving. A candidate for more extensive aging.

Great tasting Amorone. No sign of age. Drank with 99 and preferred 98. Still has plenty of time in the bottle.

Very deep color. Nose of big Cab, mint, sweet spices and hint of oak. Dry with med acidity, full body, plenty of ripe juicy fine tannins, blackcurrants, cassis, liquorice, mint, dark chocolate. Med+ legth with a little sweet finish.

Drank with homemade lamb gyros. Outstanding. Did not overpower the meal. Excellent with the garlicky yogurt sauce. Superb sipping after the meal still tasting the lingering gaminess of the lamb. Also wet well with the Nutella And ripe bananas for dessert. Nice.

Deep red in colour, the nose is perfumed with rich plum, mulberry and spice. The front palate is saturated with dark and red fruits that continue on the back palate, added to the mix is excellent integration of cedary oak. The wine shows subtle spice and great complexity of ripe balanced fruit in the mouth. The finish is superbly textured and shows great persistence. South Australia meets Valpolicella: There are some liquorice and raisin notes along with cassis and chocolate. There’s a big fruit sweet heart with lots of meaty tones. It is still a fair way off its peak but beginning to drink very well.

Deep, concentrated smoky dark fruits; sweet entry, very concentrated blackcurrant fruits. Big, powerful and intense. Quite a tannic frame hidden here. Impressive - needs time.

Smells a bit like Bordeaux, lots of cassis, tobacco and cigar box. Still some stiff tannins left. I am a bit underwhelmed by this wine. Its short on the finish.

Very interesting wine. Has a raisiny nose, dry on palate with a faint bitterness like real amarone. Very well structured wine.

Vg. Deep, intense needs lots of time. Dull, rim fading; meaty, damsons; thick, jammy, tarry, full bodied, dense; edgy finish. Ready 14
