Jefferson Vineyards Chardonnay Reserve

Light structure (expected with this age!), pleasant sweetness, light floral characteristics. Smooth! And very fun to have aged this much and tried.

Hard to believe this chardonnay comes from Virginia. Tropical nose with apple, pear and citrus notes. Light oak and buttery mouthfeel. Well done!

Certainly the best Virginia Chardonnay that I’ve ever tasted! Quite tropical and grassy for a Chard. Tropical fruit flavors across the nose, almost making me want to question its Chard-ness. Apples and lemon on the palate. Nicely done subtle oak. Great acidity. Stylistically, somewhere between Chablis and California. Really quite good – and I’m not fan of Virginia wines.
