Dinner with DC (San Shu Gong) : Juicy, lovely mix of red and blue fruits, med acid, slight candied on the palate, hint of stems with grippy tannins.

This is a beautiful Vosne villages wine. Nice red fruits. Fairly complex with plenty of Vosne spice. Harmonious.

Given that this bottle likely hadn't been stored properly at the shop, I wasn't surprised to find it somewhat advanced. The fruit was very dark, and the wine almost seemed tannic. Lots of tertiary and secondary notes, but on day two the fruit came out better. I imagine it could easily keep many more years, had it not been for the improper storage. A decent glass of wine, but I'd have preferred it with some food.
