Domaine Pierre Naigeon Marsannay La Charme aux Prêtres

Sous-bois, fallen leaves, cooked berries and oak spices on the nose. There’s still a lot of structure on this wine, grainy tannins and bright acidity, but the ripe fruit is now taking on pruney tones. It worked tonight with s plethora of mish-mashed leftovers but I wouldn’t hold on to this much longer. Okay.

Prêt mais peut encore attensre, sur les fruits rouges, assez léger, longueur subtile.

Great Pinot Noir ! Had this for Thanksgiving Day 2021.

Très agréable. Le nez pinotte: baies rouges, épices, rafle et terre. La bouche pinotte sur les mêmes notes: griottes, rafle, épices et terre. Le milieu de bouche est bien fourni. Ça manque un peu de longueur mais c'est bon, digeste et suffisamment structuré. D'après moi, ça peut continuer à se bonifier. La prochaine dans 3 ans, pas avant. J'aime beaucoup Pierre Naigeon pour ses Gevrey et Fixin et ce Marsannay s'ajoute au lot.

Sampled it 2 bottles in a couple days. In both cases decanted and aired for ~1 hr. Medium(-) ruby, 13% abv. Savory aromas like underbrush complement red fruits. Dry, medium-medium(+) acidity, medium tannin, medium alcohol and body. Palate of cherry, strawberry, leather, earth notes. Tightly knit, crunchy and fresh finish. Drink soon.
